Hema Malini opens up about her bonding with half son Sunny Deol for the first time


Hema Malini, one of the biggest superstars of Bollywood unveiled her biography on her 69th birthday. She has always been silent on her equation with Dharmendra and his sons from first wife Prakash Kaur, but now she has mentioned everything in her biography.

Things have always been speculated about her relation with Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol by the media. The book is authored by Ram Kamal Mukherjee and at the launch event, Mukherjee asked her that there is something media wants to know and then Hema interrupted him and said:

“Beyond Hema Malini means this has to come – Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol,”

Then the audience had a little laughter and she continued saying:

“Everyone wonders what kind of a relationship we (she and Sunny) are having. It is very beautiful and cordial. Whenever it is necessary he (Sunny) is always there, along with Dharam ji, especially when this accident happened.”

She further added:

“He was the first person to come to see me at home and he saw that the right doctor is there for the stitches that were done on my face. I was really taken aback to see him showing so much interest. That shows what kind of a relationship we are having,”

The actress met with an accident near Dausa, Rajasthan, on July 2 2015 while going to Jaipur from Agra and her Mercedes allegedly hit an Alto. Malini had got a fracture in her nose and suffered injuries on her forehead.

Hema Malini has also mentioned the incident in her book. The biography was launched by Deepika Padukone, where her family was also present, including daughters Esha and Ahana Deol with their respective husbands and industry colleagues like Ramesh Sippy and Subhash Ghai were also there. Deepika also read out the letter of Pamela Chopra, wife of late filmmaker Yash Chopra, who directed Hema Malini in many films. Pamela wrote:

“You are pristine and in your long career, you always showed grace and dignity, something very few actresses have.”
